Avengers Inception AU → wherein Thor of Odin Corp. hires Steve Rogers’ elite dreamsharing team to perform inception on his brother, Loki, and a shade of their ex-resident thief Bucky (who was killed when the team’s last job went horribly wrong) tries his best to sabotage it.
Or: Steve extracts, Tony builds, Clint runs point, Natasha’s a master of impersonation, Bruce concocts, Thor’s a tourist, and things happen.
Day Twenty-Nine: A Female-Centric Fic Rec
Okay, scratch that. Here are two female-centric fic recs, one darker than the other.
The first is The Copper Mouse. It’s TOS femslash from the episode “The Cloud Minders”, and the ship is Vanna/Droxine. It’s a very poetic fic, which some people may dislike, but in this circumstance I think it’s beautiful.
The second is Destructive Testing. A Mal/Ariadne fic that gets a bit dark. The description warns of slight dubcon, so if that’s not your thing, then you might want to skip this one.
Female-centric fics are something that I’m really looking forward to once I finish Xena and Buffy. I’m overly paranoid about spoilers, so I’ve been resisting the temptation to seek out fic for those series. Unfortunately, due to my aversion to heterosexual ships and the shortage of female characters in most fandoms, this leaves me with a heavily male-dominated selection of fics, which really, really bugs me.
